New Stadium?

As I mentioned in my first post, the Harrison Square project is centered around a new baseball stadium for the Fort Wayne Wizards. Also in that first post, I mentioned the skepticism around Fort Wayne about this plan. The Fort Wayne Wizards current stadium, Memorial Stadium, has a seating capacity of 6,000. The new stadium currently in production also has a capacity of 6,000. Obviously the new stadium will have luxuries that Memorial Stadium simply cannot match, however, Memorial Stadium is a rather new stadium in itself. Spending 30 million dollars on the new stadium is certainly a questionable move. The Wizards must draw enough fans and consistent movement downtown to be able to create an even flow of people in order for Harrison Square to be successful.
