Initial Phase - 125 Million

I would like to take a moment here to break down the total costs and where the money is being spent on Harrison Square. Fort Wayne is looking at a 125 million initial budget for their Harrison Square project. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the cost of the new baseball stadium is right around 30 million dollars. However, where is the rest of the money in this over 100 million project going? The biggest piece of the budget is going to build a new hotel room, which will cost 48 million. Next of course is the new baseball stadium, which comes in at 30 million. 60 new condominiums are being built at another 12 million dollars, and a parking garage for 10 million dollars. Finally around 6 million will be spent on street level retail. To break it down:

New Hotel Building - 48 million
New Baseball Stadium - 30 million
60 Condominium Suites - 12 million
New Parking Garage - 10 million
New Street Level Retail - 6 million

I am staring to agree with you more and more everytime I drive past their current Stadium. There is, absolutely, nothing wrong with it. It fits the ammount of people that come to the Wizards games. Also, it is a pretty nice landmark. I wish they would have thought things through better.
